Freight wreck at Corydon Junction kills three
A freight train plunged 90 feet from a trestle at Corydon Junction 17 miles west of New Albany Indiana killing engine er Clarence Dunham 30 fireman W H Scott 28 and brakeman Frank Carter 25. Conductor James W Pritchett 35 and brakeman Clyde Stewart 26 were injured. The wreckage caught fire but locals quickly put out the flames. The engine had just left New Albany when the crash occurred around noon. The Evansville Sunday excursion train had passed the trestle minutes earlier.
