Town Sees Wide Swell of Visitors for Business and Leisure

A stream of visitors arrives in Huntingburg and surrounding towns for business, sales, and social events. Notable names and towns include Joe Schuler in Huntingburg, John Erhard of Siberia, Wm. C. Baas of Louisville, George Oser of Dale, Pius Oser of St. Henry, Alois Fieth of St. Meinrad, and many others calling on local shops, the dance last Thursday, and a trip to Evansville and St. Louis.

Automatic air lift pump powers new slaughter house

Casper Schuler completes his modern slaughter house with air lift pump technology. The unit, built by Theodore Peters in Ferdinand, draws cold water to the cold storage plant from 700 feet away and rises 500 feet, supplying the facility with preserved water for cooling. Mr. Schuler expresses satisfaction with the system.

Explosion at St Meinrad injures repairman

In St Meinrad Indiana on a Friday noon last week an explosion occurred at Schnellenberger Kosts store when a gas light struck igniting escaping gas. The fire reached the ceiling but was put out with no major damage. Chas Kost suffered a bad burn to one hand.

Directory plans and legal suit noted in Cannelton Telegraph

A notice offers a town business directory for surrounding towns with 25 cent ads and discounts. Also Valentine Fleig sues George Walk and Tray-Mo Brewing Co. receiver Jose Leingang for promissory notes of 500 dollars each dated June 7 1910. Robert W. Armstrong represents plaintiffs seeking attorney fees and an order directing the receiver to pay funds into the report for the plaintiff.

Application For Liquor License In Ferdinand Indiana

Notice to Ferdinand residents announces a male applicant twenty one with good moral character and local residency seeks a license to sell and serve intoxicating liquor for one year in a ground floor room of a one story building on Beckmanns addition lot fronting a street. The premises are described as 20 by 80 feet and situated on a highway in Ferdinand.
