Bufkin Returns to Testify in Shooting Case

Floyd Bufkin, convicted for the Weisman money theft, was brought to Jasper Thursday morning by officer W. K. Cover from Michigan City state prison to testify in State of Indiana vs Bas Hoffman. Hoffman allegedly pointed a gun at Louis Ahing near Huntingburg. Bufkin accompanied by officer Cover returned to prison that evening, with Sheriff Schwenk also escorting John Nicholson, an arson convict, to the state prison.

Adjudged Insane in Indiana Inquest

Christina Rosemeyer of Huntingburg was declared insane in an inquest before Justice of Peace Harry J. Robertson. She was sent to Jaaper and later placed in the county jail pending admission proceedings to the Southern Indiana Hospital for the Insane at Myansville.
