Disbursements cover printing sewer construction and maintenance, tools, fire engines and salaries including treasurer and clerk, totaling 2796.94. The report notes the new firm Smith & Schnellenberger replacing Geo M Sturm and provides contact via Cumberland No. 14.

George Joreich known as the Basket Maker, about 70, was found dead after a burn incident near Brettville. He slept on a plank over a boiler fire in a damp shed where he had sought warmth, and was recovered alive the next morning. He claimed land in Illinois and debt in Jasper Bank and said he had two married daughters in California.

In Jasper on Monday were Mathias Olinger Peter Emmer Frank Roos Mike Olinger Charisse Horny Henry Schum Frank Uebel hor Matt Olinger and Jos Kitten. The four last named took the evening train to Troy and returned home Tuesday.
Cecelia Egioff visited Louis and Henry Otto family for a week in St Meinrad. Dr N A James spent New Year with his parents. The St Joseph Benevolent Society held its annual meeting with Isidore Egloff as president and other officers listed. F X Buxer finishes a new barn in Perry. Robert Widmer went to Rockport to qualify as Spencer County surveyor with a deputy and continues his school.
Fulda notes include visits from Lothar Tretter and the Kuntz families, the Fulda Star Band performing for Christmas and New Year. The church records show five deaths, eleven births and four weddings. New trustees for 1911 are William Haller and Joe Wulf. Frank Collignon reports two acres of tobacco yielding about 2000 pounds per acre at top price. Tony Greulich returns from tile work near Hockport and makes quality brooms for home use and market.
Dubois C B Nordhoff visited Jasper on Monday for business. Robert Nordhoff and Herman Wassing were in Jasper and nearby towns over the weekend. Martin Wehr from Celestine, Bill Poen from Norton, Fred Frybarger from Celestine, Nolan Brothers of Ellsworth, Robert Jones and Noah Herne of Rush, George Prechtel Jr of Celestine, Mart Button of Petersburg, Norman Wassing of Ferdinand Papsday, John Fry left for Greenville Tennessee on business. Henry Harder and Hambert were seen in Jasper on Saturday.
Ed Nordhoff left for Louisville Saturday to spend the first of the year with his best girl. Fred Staum was in Louisville Friday and Saturday. Joe Matthies of Louisville is spending a few days here with his uncle Bill Zier. Look out for the rabbits Joe.
Report from Tioga Lycoming area describes two bears invading a sugar camp at Henderson’s sugaring operation. They smashed kettles, spilled maple sap, and left a trail of syrup across the ground, prompting fears of further vandalism and a vow to protect the stand. The incident interrupted boiling on Monday and disrupted a planned sugaring off event.
