Birth of a fort smith cabinet maker and founder

Frank J. Moellers of Ft. Smith Ark died at home after a paralysis stroke. He was a long time cabinet maker and builder who helped establish Subiaco and later ran stores in Ft. Smith Ferdinand and Adgeville before retiring on a suburban farm. He leaves a widow three sons and two daughters. A birthday party for Miss Mary Egloff was held at the John Ebert home with friends attending.

Return of beer bottles surfaces after company contract

Peter Schnell of Johnsburg died by his own hand yesterday morning in his cellar after returning from the depot. He had long been known in the area, having operated a store and a former saloon. Funeral arrangements are noted as pending. Euchre Party Near St Meinrad Enjoys Good Music

A euchre party was hosted at Anton Mehling’s country home near St Meinrad last Sunday night. Guests included the Werne, Haase, Altmann, Peters, Rahmann, Mehling, Fetter, Gessner, Vaal, Pund, Klueh and Verne families with many children. The evening featured cards, singing, and games, a string band provided music, followed by a midnight lunch and a jovial, early finish.
