Sister Genevieve Lehmire Passes After Long Benedictine Life
Sister Genevieve Lehmire O S B born 1859 in Elsace France baptized Rosalia entered Convent of the Immaculate Conception on Oct 12 1574 at age 38 received Benedictine garb in 1579 took simple vows later perpetual vows August 13 1886 at Mariah Hill St Henry and St Meinrad her missionary work. She died after a long life of service and early blindness though in peaceful faith survived by one brother and several sisters.

Separately the town board repealed a prior Missouri street improvement resolution and the clerk relayed to the Pike circuit court clerk to dismiss the case pending remonstrances. The regular meeting noted no special session was held and that the prior meeting was invalid and struck from the record.
