Chateau-Thierry Emerges From City of Ashes

Indiana War Savings drive targets delinquent pledges

Statewide effort to collect missed War Savings pledges announced by the Indiana War Savings committee. Districts report 1918 quota of 58,323,860 with Indiana sales around 65 million. weekly stamps sold valued at 41,921,594.75. County leaders include Johnson County at 25.62 per capita, Fayette at 24, Decatur at 23.40.

Eight new Republicans to take seats in Indiana statehouse

Eight new Republican officials will assume statehouse roles in Indiana beginning January. The newcomers include L. N. Hines as state superintendent, Louis Roark as state geologist, Benjamin M. Willoughby as supreme court justice, P. J. Lynch as clerk of the supreme and appellate courts, Sulan A. Enloe and Charles I. Remy as appellate court judges, Willis C. McMahon and Alonzo L. Nicholas as second district appellate judges, while other officials were re elected.
