Aged Mrs Sternberg Dies at 85 in St Anthony Indiana

Mrs Sternberg nee Pudhoff died Monday night after a brief illness apoplexy. Born in Germany March 27 1831 she was 85 years four months four days. She and Emil Sternberg married in Covington Kentucky in 1856 and had nine children surviving with 33 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral will be Thursday at nine o'clock with Rev Father Clement officiating. She was beloved in the community of St Anthony and surrounding areas.

Kunkler Marries Miss Boekmann in St Louis

John A. Kunkler and Miss Mary Elisabeth Boekmann wed Tuesday morning at six in St. Louis. Attendants Hugo Boekmann and Susan Kunkler. The couple returned by honeymoon to Jasper area and dined with Mrs. Stephen Weyer. A late wedding dance followed at Senninger's Hall with the Jasper orchestra.

Birthday Surprise in Johnsburg Honors Rona Buehning

A surprise party at Mr. and Mrs. John Buehning home in Johnsburg Indiana honored their daughter Rona on her birthday. A large crowd attended with music by Bogle & Lange band, dancing, refreshments served at 10 o'clock, and many guests listed among attendees.
