Death of Enos Bosler Ends Quiet Life in Community

Enos Bosler aged 82 years 11 months 17 days died peacefully at home after a long illness. Born at Mariah Hill he lived on a farm near St Henry and Mariah Hill before moving to Ferdinand for health reasons. Survived by a widow and many children and siblings, interment was held at St Ferdinand church after a requiem mass.

Successful Graduates From March Examination

Seventy percent of 167 applicants passed the March common school graduation exam with 113 successful. County honors leader is Bainbridge Township Applicant No. 32 with an average of 953. Resignations at the town board meeting included Frank Steltenpohl as treasurer and Charles Metager as fire chief, filled by Gustav Wouter and Joe Helder respectively.

Wm R Sauer visited Huntingburg on business. Dr KEBE Schriefer was in Indiana polis Tueaday and Wednesday. Richard Gehlhausen repaired at Bretzville. Mrs Mary Lindenschmidt went to Louisville last weekend. Miss Ida Beckmann returned from Evansville. Ben Boekting and Paul Brenner spent Sunday in town. George Rippy of Louisville was in town Wednesday. John Schaeffer from Troy was in town Tuesday. Robert Armatrong of Huntingburg was here on legal business last Saturday. Landgrebe of Huntingburg looked for trouble on telephone lines Tuesday. Herb Schwartz of St Henry, working in Huntingburg, spent Saturday night in town. Miss Alice Senninger returned from Evansville Tuesday night. Mrs Herbert Muller and Dolores visited Evansville Sunday. Henry Paul Denning of St Meinrad visited Thursday afternoon. John Jochim and Mrs John Altmann returned from Evansville Friday. William Pund of Tell City called Sunday. Mr Pond sold his home near the railroad to Henry Rohleder for 1000. The printers devil made up his first form causing an obituary misprint. The town briefly noted electric lights inaugural night and Ferdinand’s changed look. Washington item notes editor William Greame volunteering for Marine Corps. Elmo Wilson of Marengo visited for a power attachment on his paper.

Peculiar Find: Corpse Discovered in Falda Barn

Fulda Indiana April 8 Anthony Grelinch found a dead man buried under hay in a barn on the Fred Grenlich farm. Identified as Konrad Klueber aka Coon Klueber last seen March 21 en route home. Coroner F M Hackelman held an inquest. burial at St Meinrad.

The Storm's Visit Raises Newborns in Town

The stork visits our town with three newborns: a son born to Mr. and Mrs. Fd Egloff on Friday of last week, a son to Mr. and Mrs. Philip Ebert on Thursday night of last week, and a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schaeffer on Monday night of this week.
