A nitroglycerin loaded infernal device in a glass case was found among flood debris near Sanger California. The clocklike mechanism attached to a brass cylinder will be turned over to authorities. The Friez automatic river gauge for Kings River, recording for 11 years, was swept away by the flood, exceeding 18 year maximum by six feet.
