Train Collision Near Aurora Borealis Alarmed Officials

Chicago sept 29 the trial of Dr Haldane Cleminson for the murder of his wife Norah last May was postponed to the October term on defense counsel request.

Infant girl found dead on doorstep in Toledo

A newborn girl was found strangled with a cord around the neck in a basket on the front doorstep of Mrs. D. W. Stilson at 353 Woodland Avenue Toledo. Police and the coroner sought to identify the infant and investigate the case.

Coroner Charles J. Hensler took charge after Mrs. Stilson found a nude infant inside a grocer's peck basket on her doorstep. The body was covered with paper, wrapped in an old lace curtain and woolen blanket, with a local newspaper laid on the basket.

In Ramsey County probate court the estate of Governor John A. Johnson is listed at 37430 with stocks making up most of the value. The petition names Elinore Marie Johnson as executrix and sole heir. F B Lynch appointed special administrator pending October 25 hearing. In a separate note, the Alameda wireless link between Honolulu and San Francisco reported by operator Phelps.

Wm Smith, who underwent stomach removal three weeks ago at Bushwick hospital in Brooklyn, has left the institution reportedly cured by doctors. Surgeons say he can live for many years, with the only limitation being a diet of predigested food.
