Legs Cut Off by a Train In Coal Town

James O Neill 32 of Princeton Indiana a coal miner leaped into an empty coal gondola on a moving train at Pinckneyville Illinois. The gondola’s bottom dropped and he slid to the tracks with the train passing over his legs. He is dying. He sought work in southern Illinois mines.

Turkey hunting tragedy ends in friend’s accidental death

Will de Leon and Pete Wheeler, both deer friends from Hickman Kentucky, were turkey hunting by surprise. De Leon mimicked a turkey call drawing Wheeler’s fire. Wheeler, thinking a wild turkey was present, shot into the brush mortally wounding De Leon within minutes.
