An American shoe house completed an order for seventeen pairs of the most expensive baby shoes in the United States. They are for the infant princess of Holland and include a pair from satin of Queen Wilhelmina's wedding gown. Materials include cloth of gold and silver, Parisian kid, calf skin, silk, and brocaded satin costing $100 a yard.
The body of Thomas G. McKean was found along the Chicago Burlington and Quincy line north of Cochrane. He had been aboard passenger train No. 62 and letters to him from a sister in Vienna Virginia were found, along with $144. A letter in his grip stated he planned to commit suicide.

New York May 26 David Anderson and Michael Condon were convicted of stealing 65 cents from a drunken man and sentenced to a term in Sing Sing prison not less than seven and a half years nor more than fifteen years.
Lafayette Ind May 26 Professor Benjamin M Hoak of Purdue University was struck in the abdomen by a 16 pound hammer thrown during the inter scholastic meet and was reported near death. The incident occurred at the meet drawing immediate attention from medical staff and spectators. Hoak is a noted faculty member and his condition remained critical through the night.
