United Press dispatches from Paredon Coahuila report a collapse of Monclova as Villa orders attacks. Federals fled from Monclova and were cornered in sand hills north of the town with heavy casualties. Rebels press southward while cavalry harasses retreating forces. possible sale of government assets hinted as actions unfold.

Ouachita College Seeks 10000 Appeal Referred to Board

Nashville May 16 A precedent was set in the Southern Japiter Convention as the Ouachita College Arkadelphia Arkansas appeal for 10000 was referred to the Home Mission Board seeking favorable action. Previously policy required each school to provide funds locally. Eugene Trahin named in Fayetteville pitchers list but omitted from yesterday's Fayetteville Daily. He pitched a no hit game for Fayetteville High School against Bentonville, a first in five years. Mrs E E Reich telegram states her brother Alex Evins of San Antonio Texas died at 1 20 am. Burial will be in San Antonio. Evins born in Fayetteville lived here many years.

Lilliard Pool Hall Ordinance Rejected Again

City Council refused to issue permits for a pool hall in Payette after a failed motion to reconsider. Ordinance No 382 requiring water plant patrons to obtain permits for washing activities was passed. James Ladd received permission to build a warehouse on Dickson Street. The administration plans cautious spending until the sheriff settlement in mid July. Maurice Soule returned from central state with Fayetteville baseball team updates.
