Akron May 5 Charles Carlson 24 a Milwaukee aviator was killed at Silver Lake while making a flight in a prone biplane. It was his second flight of the day and he was about 160 feet up when the engine failed. He was thrown from the machine and struck the ground on impact.

Deplorable fishing accident claims Morgan Brown
While fishing near Baldwin Morgan Brown suffered a fatal accident after a gun in his hip pocket discharged. His brother Homer Brown and a man named Hortor were nearby. Brown was struck in the lip and abdomen and died after being taken to City Hospital. Funeral services were held at his mother's residence on Went Spring Street with Rev. C. P. Bishop officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery. The family received community sympathy.

Small Cyclone Strikes Fayetteville Hurting Residents
A small tornado passed through the northeast part of Fayetteville causing damage to several homes and buildings. The Pfiter’s cottage on College Avenue was blown in and burned, the Maker brick child was damaged, and the Nakre brick child area sustained damage. Mrs. Schrome was slightly hurt, and many houses and barns were damaged or destroyed. Local residents sought medical help as the storm damaged multiple structures near Doctors streets.
