Chillicothe Missouri January 29 sections men found the body of an infant buried in a shallow grave on a river bank three miles south of the city. Silas Todd age 24 was arrested and confessed he was the father and disposed of the body. Post mortem shows the child alive when born. parents deny responsibility. Officers say three more arrests will follow.
Guthrie Okla Jan 29 A gas well on Osage Indian nation land is afire producing 17 000 000 cubic feet daily. It is on lease held by Indian Territory Illuminating Oil Co of New Jersey.

Sedalia Missouri reports 15 year old Kirk Bailey died from a stab wound inflicted by his 13 year old brother Victor who disappeared after the Sunday attack. Victor was located Wednesday on the family farm near Dresden and returned to his mother’s home.
Albuquerque headlines report Mrs. Charlotte Ewing Van Eman, of a wealthy Philadelphia family, filing for divorce in the district court on Thursday. She cites brutal treatment, habitual drunkenness, and non support as grounds and asks that the court order her husband to return her belongings.
Creditors’ committee circulated a proposed plan of reorganization for the Pillsbury-Washburn Flour Mills company in Minneapolis. A new operating company would be formed with two million dollars in paid up capital, funded by current shareholders and others, to be managed by receiver C. A. Loring.
