Pure Food Demonstration a Great Success at Harve L Harr Store

A snowbound crowd of over 3 000 attended Harve L Harr’s first grand opening event with a pure food demonstration. Various firms showcased products from coffee to biscuits, crackers to canned fruits, and a wedding ceremony at 2 30 p m surprised attendees as orders poured in. Harris plans a larger event next year.

Fayetteville Dog Control Decrees and City Notice

Notice to Fayetteville residents requires tying or muzzling dogs. Dogs running at large face death. a mad dog was killed by police this morning by Chief W. F. Stirman. December 18, 111. Also ads for lost pocket-book reward and two rented rooms on School Street with contact.

Transfers filed in the Circuit Clerk’s office show L. W. Newcomb to James Irvinston for parcels in City Park Addition at 3500, R. McCollum to J. W. Walker for one lot at 6500, J. T. Reese to C. W. Linn for 80 acres at 1000, F. S. Robinson to Maud B. Green for 80 acres at 800. Also notes on a Mesh Bag promotion, a local marriage, a visit from Bell Telephone State Manager Morris J. Stimson, impending district management changes for J. H. Cowan, Ozark program, and court actions including John Gilmore’s assault and battery guilt and John Botch’s liquor case continued to Dec 27.

Burns Plans to Oust Gompers and Labor Leaders

Detective Burns told the National Labor leaders association that further arrests in the McManigal case are expected and that bribes to deter him have been offered. He attacked Samuel Gompers as unfit to lead organized labor and vowed action until Gompers is expelled. Burns said he will pursue Los Angeles Times bomber case leads after Indianapolis and will seek rewards offered for arrests and convictions.
