Washington County Fair Directors Plan Major Improvements
Washington County Fair Association directors met at the Arkans National Bank to map the September 30 to October 19 fair. Plans include a new entrance a domestic science and art building, parcel post demonstration, enhanced fruit exhibits, a sham battle by Arkansas National Guard units, and a featured auto pageant with $50 prizes for best decorated cars.

Dunn resigns as Citizens Laundry manager

Women Peace Parade Held in Many Cities
Women in about forty cities joined a nationwide peace parade urging war leaders to seek arbitration.
