Bankers' Rice Growing Co buys 2946 acre Prairie County tract

L F Kimberlin reports the Bankers' Rice Growing Company of Little Rock has purchased the J W Letchworth farm near DeVall's Bluff on the Searcy branch of the Rock Island railroad for 70704 dollars. The 2047 acre property is set to become a major rice farm with about 2200 acres, backed by about 140000 dollars in development. Water supply is prioritized with deep wells through gravel to ensure irrigation in dry years.

The Tent Meeting closed last night after nearly five weeks drawing the largest Fayetteville congregations in years. About 225 conversions were reported. Revivalist Mr Tatum praised for leadership.
