Labor Organizer Forced To Leave Vicksburg
New Orleans lawyer Hubert M. Ansley arrived to probe the departure of Labor Organizer James Leonard from Vicksburg last Wednesday night. The American Federation of Labor will pursue the matter in federal court, asserting Leonard was coerced by the mayor and townspeople while exercising his citizen rights. Ansley will remain several days and has advised Leonard to assist in the case.
