Oyster Bay Aug 17 The Republican county committee head Lloyd Griscom said Taft and Roosevelt forces may harmonize in New York but national harmony remains doubtful after a five hour talk with Colonel Roosevelt. Sherman chosen temporary secretary. Griscom proposal to substitute Roosevelt for Sherman defeated 20-15.
