De Witt Dies After Illness in Actress's Apartment

Thomas D. De Witt a longtime West Side leader and millionaire coal merchant died after a sudden illness in the quarters of Misa Ollie Lowe an actress. He was over 60 with extensive Pelham Manor and Bronx real estate holdings and belonged to the Metropolitan Museum of Art Holland Society New York Athletic and Colonial clubs. He had appeared in papers as the angel for Hope Booth and had lived apart from his family for two years.
