The night proves damp and crowded yet lively as families endure mud, floods, and a river crossing before returning home by train. The group praises the village girls’ drills and a visiting Mohammedan official admires the school’s progress.
In September 1910 the author and three Bible women plus two servants began a difficult tour in Vikarabad Deccan India. They faced hot sun rough stone roads and looming rain as they pressed toward distant villages noting travel by bullock and the need to keep moving despite harsh conditions.

The trio plans to join in California after visits with Rounds and daughter to Redlands and Miss Stevenson to Pasadena.
Martin Smith of Artington held his sale Tuesday and is moving his family to Fayette to enter the livery business in partnership with W A Thomas. W G Thomas will drop out of the firm.
