Biographical Directory of Congress Nears Completion
Anson Wold finishes a vast project compiling biographies of 9,000 congressmen and relatives, filling 500 missing details on births, deaths, and residences. The work, delayed by unreliable data and false leads, traces from early 1809 directories to the modern congressional biographical directory under the joint printing committee.
