Cairo Illinois October 3 1907 Governor Curry declares single statehood victory after meeting the President who pledged aid New Mexico gains momentum toward statehood during a Governors party visit along the Mississippi to Memphis.
Frank Staplin editor and owner of the Farmington Enterprise is noted in the masthead as published weekly with mailing details and rate of $2.00 per year. The notice records post office filing as second class matter under federal statute.
A 1907 editorial advocates land use and individual effort for regional growth while detailing the New Mexican push for statehood led by President Roosevelt, Governor Curry, and Delegate Andrews.
