The $500,000 State Road Bonds would be financed by the existing one mill state levy, which currently raises $65,000 to $75,000. Interest on the bond issue would be about $20,000, paid from the levy, leaving $40,000 to $50,000 for repairs and providing the half million for immediate road construction without raising taxes.

Drilling at 139 to 410 feet yields over 40 miners inches of water. oil sands may run 800 to 1000 feet. The new owners will move the drill, test for oil, and may develop water for irrigation if oil proves nonpaying. An asset to holdings is a flowing well worth 340 an acre for irrigation. Another company will operate nearer to the city with details in coming columns. Also cited are county valuations, road and bridge bonds, and sinking fund effects of taxes.
