New Statutes of Interest on Bee Foul Brood Dises

An act approved March 9 1906 requires beekeepers to disinfect hives and equipment to prevent foul brood and contagious bee diseases. It imposes fines and possible jail for violations, and lets justices of the peace issue warrants and oversee trials. Diseased apiary items may be condemned and destroyed.
