Coal to Copper Railway Nears First Contract Award

The Dantes Sharpe Construction Co. has won the bid for the first contract of a Southern Pacific line from Durango Colorado through New Mexico and Arizona to copper camps in the southern territory. Work starts soon, with completion expected in three to four years. The line will bring coal to southern Arizona mines, reducing costly haulage from nearby regions.
