Airship Over Elgin Draws Curious Town Watchers
Its Mission, Monday morning one of the Ft. Sill air ships hovered over Elgin attracting many spectators. John Renfro and J. A. Kirk said it paused above their garden before heading away. J. W. Head claimed the craft surveyed townsite from its elevation while Kirk joked about tobacco. Two air ships returned Tuesday morning traveling side by side about 100 feet apart as residents watched them fade from view.

Moving Bank Building to New Main Street Route
G J Woodriff of Lawton began Monday with a crew to move the Bank of Elgin from its current site to the west side of G Street between Collin's store and Hadger Lumber Co. The plan aims to shift business toward Chat Street as the town's main street, improving access to elevators, lumber yards, and cotton gin, with new line of shops to be added and walk connections to town facilities and the depot.
