Geo. Wyatt, an assistant cashier at the Bank of Manitou, caponized 29 Barred Plymouth Rock cockerels last summer weighing about two pounds each. At the time forty cents a pound was a high price. Kept for April 1916 they weighed nine pounds and could fetch 22 cents per pound. The uncapons would have sold at six cents per pound, weighing about six pounds.
