Oklahoma State Fair and Exposition Low Fare Plan

During the seventh annual Oklahoma State Fair and Exposition from September 23 to October 4 1913 inclusive, a one fare round trip is offered from all Oklahoma points. A two cent per mile open rate in each direction with a $1.00 minimum round trip will also apply to Omaha City and return. The special rate runs daily through the fair with final limit the day after. The one fare round trip for two days during the fall period is touted as the best ever for Oklahoma state occasions. The two cent rate aims to boost attendance for an expected large turnout. Railroads anticipate substantial publicity and traffic, while local agents predict 250,000 to 500,000 passengers over the twelve days.

Two Initiatives Seek Anthomary Law From Lawmaker

The first bill directly born from the Legislature’s inaction was filed with Secretary of State Hen F P. Harrison.
