Fire destroys T. W. Caruth building at Davidson
A fire at one o clock Monday morning gutted the T. W. Caruth building in Davidson. Losses total about 3 300 with 2 000 insured. Jameson Brothers suffer 2 000 in implements and hardware, insured 1 300. About 200 of hardware not moved was uninsured and transferred. W. O. W. and Mason lodges report around 700 loss with no insurance.

Baby Girl Mitchell Dies in Elgin Home
The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Mitchell died at their home Tuesday night at about four weeks old after lasting illness from birth. Funeral services conducted by Rev. D. L. Hinckley were held at 8 o'clock this evening with burial in Elgin cemetery.

Will Fred Hansen died at his home in Quanah Texas on February 17 at age 37. The body was moved to Elgin and then to Sterling to be laid beside his wife's mother. He had been ill for some time and x rays failed to reveal the illness. doctors in Ft Worth also could not determine the cause.
