Jess Robinson died of pneumonia at his home near Chandler township on Monday morning and was buried Tuesday in the Fletcher cemetery. He was a middle aged married man with further details not learned.

In Lawton justice court last Thursday George Hoping and Elmer Akers were bound over to district court to face murder charges in the Fatty Hopkins case. Key testimony from Tom Coley claimed he killed Fatty with an axe at Hopkins’s direction for a promised $500,000 home in Oklahoma City or Lawton plus a saddle horse and the race horse Miss Pippin. James Brooking, son of Coley’s wife, was released for lack of evidence.
On Thursday T. Ryan paid $15 to Mulhall for a Barre Rock cock weighing ten pounds at delivery, not fed during shipment. The bird matched the American standard of perfection for Plymouth Rock cocks and had prior wins including first prize at the 1914 Oklahoma state fair and a 1915 prize at the same fair, with other state awards noted.
