Christman tree program brings joy to churchgoers
Attendees at Christ man tree Saturday night enjoyed a distribution of presents for younger children. A large number of dolls were handed out, delighting the youngsters. Deputy Sheriff Bauman received a revolver about two inches in length from the tree. The Methodist church was crowded Sunday night for the Sunday school program prepared by the children, which was well received.

GH Stackhouse Dies After Prolonged Illness in Chickasha
Funeral services for GH Stackhouse, who died Tuesday December 20 at his home, will be held tomorrow afternoon with the Elgin Masonic Lodge in charge. The body will depart on Passenger Train No. 80k at 10 o clock to Geary, Oklahoma for burial beside his son. Stackhouse, long a barber in Chickasha and former resident of Elgin, was born June 17 1854 in Orangeville Indiana and moved to Oklahoma in 1900. He is survived by his wife, three daughters Mrs Ro Wile Hiame of Chickasha and Mrs H Stackhouse of Lawton, plus three sons C B Stackhouse of Elgin, Frank of Benes City, and Jove of Ber Kan. two sisters and three brothers. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and active in community affairs.
