Elgin school opens Monday September 11 offering four years of high school work. The program includes domestic science manual training athletics literary work debating and a cheap hot lunch. Four teachers will staff the up to date facility with expanded courses.
A fragmented local clipping recalls Elgin High School track events and participants from Comanche and nearby areas. Names and details are garbled but reference Wilkes, Brereton, Kaw turb, and Prairie communities alongside civic figures noting past meets and entries.
A harness and running rites speed program prepared for the state meet scheduled Monday September 26. Two races for both kings will be run with prize money. Entries close September 1. The meet includes a late horse event. A copy of the prospectus is available at the State Fair secretary's office in Oklahoma City.

The Howe party including JF, Kieg and associates were retained Friday afternoon after a long overland trip through Kansas and nearby towns. They traveled with Ford cars and noted only one interruption, Tripeon Sa ford away in York Nebraska, with daughter Mita Annie in Omaha Nebraska, both forced to return home.
Saturday morning Dr JF Gamble joined medical practice and will be with Dr Martin at Fletcher next Sunday. It is unclear what Gamble intends but some think he may return to his native North Carolina.
Affected members are asked to gather at the church Thursday afternoon at one o'clock to lay plans for the stand the church will conduct on the street.
On Thursday 5 M Davis sold his residence in the south part of town to J K Inman of southern Texas. Inman, who has a ranch on the Mexican border, rented his ranch and moved to town to send his children to school here. Davis plans to build a new residence and remodel existing property rather than leave the area.
Sore people wonder where water melons grow in abundance as 192 car loads have left Cer ment this season. Of these, 84 car loads were sent in the prior week. On Monday last week farmers weighed in 296 car loads at that gathering place.
Former Sterling resident LH M Winn, once in Medicina, now moves between Omaha City and Spencer, using medicine and planning work in Lawton's Fronitable and business sectors.
