Thomas Mason, a laborer, woke to find $84 in cash, a watch, a purse, and his eye glasses missing after sleeping aboard a Moorhead to Jamestown bound freight car near the Northern Pacific yards. He suspects a thief but reports no police action.
Thomas L Hisgen, presidential candidate of the Independents, travels in Hearst private car toward St Paul for an evening address. He is accompanied by Mrs Hisgen, his son, Clement Pollock, and several Hearst papers reporters.
Miss Benton, a Fargo high school graduate, studied in Lausanne Switzerland and at the Art Institute in Chicago and the New York Art League. Chief Gabelet Geant and Captain Louis Debigren nabbed a would be burglar at 2 30 this morning while he tried to unlock the rear Harris grocery door with filed skeleton keys.
