Rural Districts Exceed War Savings Quotas in Campaign

In Cass County rural districts near Fargo, 53 of 115 districts reported canvassing by mail and house calls. Several districts surpassed their allotted War Savings stamps quotas with pledges ranging from 2,400 to 11,000 dollars, while many continue canvassing into next week. The wheat heads sent to The Forum by W. W. Bishop of Maplet on Cass County are a fair sample for the state. North Dakota will produce a banner crop this year. The heads are unusually long and well cared for with favorable weather during milk and dough stages. Yields could reach high bushel figures comparable to Red River valley early days.
