Caving Sand Bank Smothers Infant in St Paul
In St Paul a two year old boy, Sam Kurlenchick of 636 Jackson Street, was killed when a sand bank caved in near Jackson and Fifteenth streets. The body was found after a long rescue in which bystanders and police aided, with the mother and relatives grieving.

Young People's Alliance at Big Stone Lake meets in 1910
The Dakota branch of the Evangelical Young People's Alliance held its fifteenth annual session at Chautauqua park near Big Stone Lake with Rev. F. C. Berger of Cleveland as chief speaker. Reports were encouraging, a Pierre mission is developing, and over $1,818 was raised for missionary and benevolent work. Officers elected include President Rev. F. F. Schaeffer and several state clerical leaders. The next convention is set for June 16-20, 1911.

Victim of Old Confidence Game in Minot
Emanuel Olson, after selling a Berthold homestead, changed a ten dollar bill for a stranger at the Minot station and later lost about 75 dollars in a quick trick. A Wells County Sunday School convention was held with Rev and Mrs Walter A Snow of Fargo as state secretaries. Delegates and visitors were inspired as topics on Sunday school development and home department work were discussed. Pres Geo J Ross of Sykeston reported on the state convention in Bismarck. About 140 dollars was pledged for state and county work led by Chasely with 40.10 and Sykeston with 40. Aims urged by Rev Snow included improving teacher results and fostering lifelong service in classes.

Keller Is Committed After Insanity Finding In Morton County
John T. Keller aged 35 a Morton county homesteader near Strain was found to be insane by the Mandan insanity board. He will be committed to the state hospital at Jamestown. Family and religious troubles are blamed for his mental decline. Keller once ran a hotel and was divorced four years ago. He came to Morton county six seven years ago and lived alone on the homestead after troubles.

Center North Dakota June 29 1800 people from Morton Oliver and Mercer counties attended the old settlers celebration. A day of parade races and a ball game Stanton beat Deapolis 19 to 6. Hon T R Mockler spoke to a packed hall and Hy Brown rode the bucking broncho. A night dance followed with the band entertaining throughout. In Minot the day closed with assault and battery and obtaining money under false pretenses noted.
