Dubuque Iowa reports former House Speaker D B Henderson is resting easily and gaining strength after a paralysis stroke. Washington notes Major General Leonard Wood granted two months leave and arriving in San Francisco from the Philippines. He will go to Boston to spend vacation with his mother.
Grover Cleveland Morgan J O'Brien and George Westin trustees of the majority stock of Equitable Life Assurance Society accepted the actions of all open directors and urged immediate election of their slate. The board complied.

Minnéapotias reports Mrs Ida Johnson known as a baby farmer indicted on a criminal operation charge dating to 1592 East Twenty-Sec ond Street. She was arrested in Seattle, Wash, as Deputy Sheriff George Loth pursued the fugitive this morning. Evidence includes alleged “haiy farmers” notes and grand jury indictments, with the defendant reportedly ripped by someone inside before a bench warrant could be served.
Washington reports indicate North Dakota's large irrigation project faces at least a one year delay.
