Voters braved showers across the state as rain reduced turnout in western and central areas while eastern regions reported heavy participation. Campaigns wrap up with Lynn Fra zer widely favored by Fargo and Grand Forks headquarters amid last minute rallies.
Rain storms swept across the eastern region of the state this afternoon moving from central and western areas toward Fargo Grand Forks Hillsboro and Valley City with heavy rain hail and electric displays. Rural voters faced setbacks as rain curtailed turnout while Barnesville Minnesota reported a severe wind and rain storm easing after torrential downpours.
A German newspaper article from Berlin and London reports in Mienna on June 28 that the United States pursues imperialistic policy to annex Mexico and all Central America. It claims this follows the Cleveland era and the Spanish American War, viewing current moves as a logical outcome.

Wibaux lies about six miles over the state line with a population of about 1,000.
Berlin reports German forces halt Russian advance in Volhynia with gains around Winiewka and positions south. Zurich dispatch notes Germany demands Switzerland allow export of foodstuffs gathered by German agents and threatens coal and iron export prohibitions if refused.
W D Gillespie returned from the Killdeer branch to let contracts for a six room Golden Valley schoolhouse. L W Holder of Forman won the ten room bid with a contract near eighty five thousand dollars.
