Washington June 27 The senate agricultural committee approved an amendment to the emergency agricultural appropriation bill providing national prohibition. The Norris substitute bars whisky and wine after June 30 1919 and beer three months after final approval. The Jones plan would have banned alcohol immediately. The committee vote was 8 to 0. The bill with the Norris amendment will be reported to the senate tomorrow for immediate consideration.
