Russians trapped as Japanese execute flanking maneuver

Information from New Chwang reports Japanese forces left Pulan Tian to block Russian southward relief of Port Arthur. After a brief clash the Japanese feigned retreat and used a double flank to trap Russians, with 2000 troops retreating along the Baimatgu Tsaichou road.
