Bethlehem, June 12 Raymond Haintzelmann, 20, Bowmanetown, Pa., brooded over the death of his fiance Florence Rebrig, 19. He swallowed poison yesterday then went to the cemetery and shot himself through the heart at her grave. The two had met with a Memorial Day accident that killed Miss Rebrig earlier this week. Colfax Washington June 12 A remarkable instance of freakish electrical phenomena is reported from the farm of August Siler south of Colfax. Siler’s son narrowly escaped death as a thunderstorm struck during a drive of six horses. A blinding lightning flash killed a dog and toppled the outside horses while leaving the inner four standing untouched.
An engine room explosion on the steamboat Sherwater on the Delaware off Philadelphia imperilled about fifty people, mostly young women. Rescue by a Philadelphia fire boat saved many, but the vessel sank.

A 200-pound dynamite blast rocked Fredericksburg Iowa last night destroying the business district and injuring many residents. The most seriously hurt include H K Hawkins of Ottumwa Lula Carey and Glen Moore of Fredericksburg. The shock was felt as far away as Hampton twelve miles distant.
