Washington June report shows spring wheat area 18,662,000 acres with condition 93.5 percent of normal and yield 13.8 bushels per acre. Estimated total production 252,000,000 bushels. Winter wheat conditions 85.5 percent indicate yield 15.9 bushels per acre and production around 492,000,000 bushels.
Washington June five officials of the naval stores firm tied to the Turpentine trusts had sentences set aside by the Supreme Court due to erroneous trial judge instructions. Justice Pitney dissented. officials viewed the ruling as not a broad blow to Sherman law prosecutions.
Esmond North Dakota June 9 The sale of hard cider with high alcohol content led to the arrest of Frank Kane Fillmore room man. Kane was taken from Fargo and brought to Benson county court where he pleaded guilty and received ninety days in jail and a 225 dollar fine. Authorities view the case as a warning to unlawful room proprietors selling hard cider and promise further prosecutions.
Milton Ne Dy Tine 9 Leon Lejune a blacksmith at Olga met with a severe accident while shoeing a stallion. The horse reared and fell, crushing his face and tearing it to nearly a pulp. His jaws were broken and most facial bones damaged, likely disfiguring him for life.

A busy auto committee of Fargo’s travelers club met at The Forum office to organize a city wide ride for boys. A committee will contact auto owners, train leaves Friday at 7 AM, banners and numbers handed out, and the first car gets No 1.

Marshalltown Iowa June Benjamin Kooley, 40, a farmer, shot and killed two children and attempted to kill a third. He then committed death by own action, blowing off the top of his head. The children were 4 and 14 years old.
The Attorney General seeks dissolution of the Eastman Kodak Co of New Jersey and Eastman Kodak Co of New York as a trust monopolizing graphic supplies. Government aims to divide assets to break the alleged 72 percent national market control. Eastman Kodak Co president Geo Eastman said the firm would meet the suit but oppose dissolution.
