Elks Parade in Fargo Draws Thousands for Grand Fair Grounds Celebration
The Fargo Elks parade marked one of the largest city and state events, with thousands marching from First Avenue to the fair grounds. North Dakota lodges from Minot Devils Lake Jamestown Grand Forks and Jamestown joined, featuring Indian bands pirates and a large elk head stage decor and a public address by Mayor Sweet. The day included a field day at the fair grounds with aviators St Henry and Webster and a night of bands and social events at the Elks lodge. Jamestown won hosting duties for next year.
