Three Engines Demolished In Railroad Wreck At Peoria
In Peoria on June 5 an inbound passenger train collided with an open switch in the yards of the Chicago Rock Island and Pacific. The crash wrecked three engines, killed or gravely injured two engineers, and left others with minor injuries while passengers escaped with few hurts.
