In Bismarck North Dakota this morning Attorney General Miller filed an affidavit and motion in district court requesting a change of venue for the trial of Sheriff McGillis over allegations of renting property for liquor sales. An affidavit supporting the motion was submitted and the hearing set for tomorrow.
Pittsfield Street Railway Co and its workers reached a settlement after an all night conference. The company granted a one cent per hour increase and a ten hour day. Strikers withdrew minor demands and returned to work.
Baltimore June 3 A general strike of machinists in all the Baltimore and Ohio railroad shops has been ordered to take effect at 2 pm The action was announced at machinists headquarters as a response to the introduction of the piecework system and labor changes across the railroad shops.
