Copenhagen reports Cerda Krum Nathanson, a Danish actress, mortally wounded at Hotel Aalborg Jutland by her husband after a Sunday incident. He then killed himself, police say jealousy sparked the tragedy. The wounded actress is named in dispatches as the prominent Cerda Nathanson.
New York endured a rare mid June snow event with a high of 51 degrees and a drop to 47 by nightfall. Snowflakes fell on pavements as gusts sent flakes swirling around skyscraper tops creating an unusual weather contrast for New Yorkers.
New Orleans June 3. The United States circuit court of appeals affirmed the Savannah court sentence in the Green and Gaynor government contract fraud case. Each defendant received four years imprisonment and a total fine of 575000 dollars. Judges Shelby and McCormick issued the opinion with Judge Parilee dissenting.
James Bradley identified James Piraida as the man who shot him at a Brooklyn picnic over a girl. Bradley, badly wounded, embraced and kissed Piraida in the hospital today, while the incident followed the identification.

Price on Captain J Kock of the Finnish Red Guard is said to be large as he stays with friends on New York's east side. He declares continued effort for Finland’s liberation and predicts uprisings stronger than in the past against Russia. His force is described as 10,000 men and 5,000 women with Mauser rifles ready for mobilization. He praises the women soldiers led by women officers as the best troops and boasts their bravery and marksmanship.
F A Gabute, a farmer near Ojata North Dakota, returned home from a visit to find his house entered and robbed of 650 dollars in cash and 50 dollars in jewelry. No clue to the culprit was found.
Akron Ohio June 3 ten persons were injured in an elevator accident at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber plant. Cables in the lift broke causing a fall to the shaft bottom. One man, W F Stafford, was probably fatally injured. Others suffered various injuries as workers scrambled to exit.
A Newark blaze at 186 William Street in the Turnverein hall killed three people, including the janitor, his wife, and a child, with thousands in damage. The fire started shortly before 2 am as strong northeast winds fed the flames, threatening nearby floors above the hall and prompting police to rescue women and children.
In LaCrosse Wisconsin on June 3 a woman tied to the Methodist Episcopal conference treasurer role received hard labor jail for five years after pleading guilty to theft. Separately in LaCrosse, the body of saloonkeeper Wolfred Van Camp missing two weeks was recovered from the Mississippi River near the city.
Between Prairie Home and Alyo Rock Island passenger train No. 63 derailed at 9 a m. Engineer Bitzer and Fireman B F Clark of Fairbury were hurt. Haywood appeared in court claiming full recovery from influenza and defense exhausted challenges before the panel was sworn. The court adjourned to 3 p m for the indictment reading.
