Three Fire Runs Without a Loss in Fargo
The Fargo fire department ran three small alarms between 11 a.m. and 1 a.m. Yesterday. A box car near Building & Loan had smoke but only a warming stove was found. At 12:35 p.m. a kitchen fire at FE T Embertson’s 1616 First Ave S caused no damage. At 1 p.m. smoke issued from the Fitzgerald Coffee house furnace but no flames were present.

Hotel man Laughlin faces charge over unsanitary house
John C Laughlin proprietor of the Hotel Syndicate Tolley North Dakota was arrested on a warrant by Hotel Inspector Anderson and bound over to appear in court on unsanitary house charges. Kirkwood hotel Carrington owner fined twenty five dollars and costs for missing fire escapes as required by law.

Former North Dakota postmaster pleads guilty to embezzlement
In federal court Corliss former Caledonia postmaster pleaded guilty to embezzling money order funds. Judge Charles F Amidon sentenced him to six months in Cass county jail and a $300 fine. Inspectors had investigated and found misused proceeds.

Y M C A Youths Prepare Calendar Exhibit This Week
The boys from the Y M C A youth department are preparing a large calendar exhibit to be held Thursday through Saturday at the association building. They canvassed business men for calendars and reported strong support with many 1910 calendars pledged. Last year’s exhibit was successful and funded delegates to the Lake Geneva conference. organizers aim to raise even more this year as they refined the show. Sec Harry Goodrich urged businessmen to send calendars regardless of circular letters, noting the advertising benefit for sponsors and the help to the youths.

Charles Hudd a switchman for six years died Sunday in a local hospital from pneumonia. Aged 59, he left behind a wife and daughter in Chicago and a son, with the Switchmen's union arranging the removal. The body will be sent to Kensington, Ohio, for funeral and interment.
