Bishop Charter McCabe Dies After Apoplexy in New York
New York reports Bishop Charter McCabe of the Methodist Episcopal Church died at 5 20 am in a city hospital after apoplexy while en route to Philadelphia. Born October 11 1886 in Athens he served long in Ohio and as chaplain of the 122nd Ohio Infantry. He was captured at Winchester and four months in Libby prison. His POW experiences were later shared on lecture platforms.
